Clinical Introduction

Non-surgical rhinoplasty uses carefully placed hyaluronic acid dermal filler to alter selected contours of the nose without surgery. Depending on individual anatomy, treatment may camouflage a small dorsal irregularity, add definition to a low bridge or improve the appearance of minor asymmetry. Because filler adds volume, it cannot make the nose physically smaller, narrow the nasal bones or correct breathing difficulties. The nose is also a particularly complex, higher-risk area for dermal filler, so treatment is considered only after detailed clinical assessment. At EQUA Clinic, the aim is conservative refinement that remains in proportion with the rest of the face. Some patients may be unsuitable for filler or may be better served by surgical assessment or a different approach. Suitability, realistic outcomes, alternatives and risks are discussed during consultation.

Safety & Downtime

Safety Note: The nose is a complex, higher-risk area with an important vascular supply. Potential complications include swelling, contour irregularity, infection and the rare but serious risk of vascular occlusion, skin injury or visual disturbance. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved when clinically indicated, but reversibility does not remove these risks.

Expected Downtime: Mild swelling, tenderness, redness or bruising may occur. This commonly begins to settle over several days, although individual recovery times vary.

Home Aftercare Instructions

• Keep the treated area clean and avoid applying make-up or skincare for 24 hours
• Do not press, rub or massage the nose unless specifically advised
• Avoid pressure from heavy glasses or goggles for the period advised
• Avoid alcohol, strenuous exercise and excessive heat for 24 to 48 hours
• Contact the clinic immediately if you experience unusual pain, colour change, visual symptoms or any other urgent concern

When will I see the results?

A change in contour may be visible immediately, although swelling can affect the early appearance. Allow approximately two weeks for the area to settle before assessing the result. Outcomes vary between individuals.
